MACA’s annual profit has trebled to $43 million, underscoring the value of the mining services contractor to suitors Thiess and NRW Holdings.

But the company has also received a takeover approach from rival west coast contractor NRW Holdings. MACA last weekMost of MACA’s revenues come from from providing services to gold mines in WA.MACA did not provide a breakdown of its earnings for the 12 months to June but said net profit attributable to members of the parent entity jumped to $42.7 million from $14.4 million a year earlier. Operational cash flow rose 11 per cent to $132.5 million.
