Pro-Palestinian protesters have spent the night occupying a University of Melbourne building in Parkville.Police are monitoring the situation but said they had not been asked to intervene at this stage.
The university said it's "concerned by the escalation of these actions" and the behaviour would be investigated. "This week we expressed our deep concern about the disruptive intent of some external visitors to our Parkville campus and made clear that, where there are instances of unacceptable behaviour, we will investigate and take appropriate action," the spokesperson said.Victoria Police said it was notified of the protest but has not been asked to intervene or remove the protesters.
