Susan Hussey, 83, quit her role in the royal family's household after Ngozi Fulani, who was born in Britain and works for a domestic abuse support group, revealed she had repeatedly asked her "what part of Africa are you from?" at an event hosted by Camilla, the Queen Consort. "Ms Fulani, who has unfairly received the most appalling torrent of abuse on social media and elsewhere, has accepted this apology and appreciates that no malice was intended."The incident followed accusations of racism against the royal household made by King Charles III's younger son Prince Harry and his wife Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, in an interview with Oprah Winfrey in March 2021, and repeated in their Netflix documentary series.

Fulani set the royals up, she went there with intent. What a low life

There wasn't any racism. Lady Susan Hussey asked Marlene Headley who goes by the name of Ngozi Fulani & dresses in traditional West African clothes even though her parents come from the Carribbean, where she came from. That's not racist that just taking an interest in someone.

So we calling it a ‘racism incident’ now? A black lady born in England named Marlene, changed her name to sound African and then dresses traditional African and then gets offended when asked what part of Africa she’s from? Marlene should apologise.

I remember when we respected our elderly enough to realise they weren't going to be completely cognisant of the latest PC requirements of the young. The pile-on was basic elder abuse IMHO.

She changed her anglophone name to this. She wore traditional attire. Her ‘charity’ is being investigated by the charities commission in the UK. I wouldn’t be apologising to her. She is, in my honest opinion, a massive grifter.

Don't care about the Royals much, so didn't care about this story. But, when I looked it up, it's interesting. She changed her name to this. That's fine, people change their name. But the name 'Fulani'? This is deeper & more interesting than I first thought...
