Prince Andrew has stepped down from his royal duties amid growing backlash over his ties to Jeffrey Epstein.

“It has become clear to me over the last few days that the circumstances relating to my former association with Jeffrey Epstein has become a major disruption to my family’s work and the valuable work going on in the many organisations and charities that I am proud to support,” he said in a statement issued today by Buckingham Palace.

“Therefore, I have asked Her Majesty if I may step back from public duties for the foreseeable future, and she has given her permission. “I continue to unequivocally regret my ill-judged association with Jeffrey Epstein. His suicide has left many unanswered questions, particularly for his victims, and I deeply sympathise with everyone who has been affected and wants some form of closure.“Of course, I am willing to help any appropriate law enforcement agency with their investigations, if required.”

Lol what? But wait? He didn't really know him that well.

OK, does that mean he will be taken of the royal payroll seeing as he won't be working ? Will the taxpayer still be paying him for doing nothing ? Prince Charles has always wanted to 'streamline' these payments, now is his chance to start doing so.

Stepped down from royal duties a euphemism for going into hiding.

I didn’t know he had any.

Did the Prince Andrew interview do serious damage to the royal brand?Prince Andrew's interview was also a case study in royalty’s worst personality traits: the sense of entitlement and amused detachment from responsibility. It impacts more than just his reputation. | ANALYSIS A lot of bullshit from the media here you guys need to look in the mirror Not all RF members are like this, HM spoiled Andrew and when he was a child my mother always said that he looked crazy, something in his eyes, I think she may have been right. No wonder Prince William jumped ship.
