The diplomatic relationship between Israel and the United States is starting to “begin to develop” as President Biden reached out to Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, according to The New Republic’s Alex Shephard.

“The Biden administration with Middle East policy in particular over this period has been reasonably disengaged but what we’re seeing slowly happen as Biden becomes more settled in is more engagement, I think

this conversation with Netanyahu is another sign of that,” he told Sky News. “For a long time Biden had not reached out to Netanyahu and now we’re finally starting to see that relationship begin to development.”

President Joe Biden makes 'damning' speech of the US to Congress | Sky News AustraliaSky News host Chris Kenny says there is a 'fascinating indictment' of the liberal left after Republican Senator Tim Scott was 'set upon' on Twitter - for rebuking President Biden's claim America was systemically racist.\n\nMr Kenny's remarks come after President Biden gave his maiden speech to Congress to mark the first 100 days of office - a speech which President Biden, amongst other things, focussed on race issues.\n\n'The President also in those comments was pretty damning of the US, of what he calls systemic racism,' Mr Kenny said.\n\n'And that charge was taken on, head on, by Republican Senator Tim Scott in his official rebuttal,' Mr Kenny said.\n\n'It's a strange debate isn't it in the US at the moment , the white president proclaiming systemic racism, the African American senator defending his compatriots.\n\n'But there is a fascinating indictment of the liberal left here, the democrat supporters, or at least the opponents of Senator Tim Scott.\n\n'Because Scott was immediately set upon on Twitter as Uncle Tim, a racist riff off the Uncle Tom label of course.\n\n'This hashtag was trending on Twitter, and Twitter clearly didn't seem to have any problem with it. Ugly stuff.' Country founded by slave owners, built on slavery, spent a hundred years enforcing Jim Crow and segregation, couldn't possibly be racist because CK gets upset. Cry harder knobby. Didn’t he fuck a dog?

Victoria match Biden administration emissions target but ‘at what cost’: Paul Murray | Sky News AustraliaSky News host Paul Murray says Victoria has decided to “match the Biden administration” and cut emissions by 50 per cent by 2030, but the transition is never going to be effortless and costless.\n\nThe acting Victorian Premier James Merlino announced the state will cut its emissions by 50 per cent by 2030 on its way to net zero emission by 2050.\n\nMr Murray said the government “can’t pretend” transitioning from the current power grid is “effortless, is costless”.\n\n“As Victoria makes its way towards more renewables, they will have greater reliability on things like wind farms, which will be set up in regional Victoria.\n\n“Once the wind farms are making the electricity it then needs to be transported back into Melbourne, which of course is through power lines”.\n\nLocals have expressed outrage over plans for energy company AusNet to a large network of power lines over prime agricultural land.\n\n“It’s all good to have these big targets … but at what cost,” Mr Murray said.\n Dickhead Dan - thought 💭 he’s disappearing No one cares what Paul 'fatberg' Murray says. Not very insightful or realistic of Murray to summise that any sort of transition might be either effortless or costless. Especially also in neglecting to consider the efficiency & huge savings potential for business & consumers. SkyThinkTank LNPStateMedia auspol

Joe Biden has a ‘failing grade’ in foreign policy | Sky News AustraliaCurtin University Professor Joe Siracusa says President Joe Biden’s foreign policy is “all a failing grade”.\n\n“In foreign policy, he’s got a D-, I’ll do the foreign policy first because it's all a failing grade,” he told Sky News. \n\n“He hasn’t reassured North Korea, he’s insulted the Russians, he’s insulted the Chinese with America’s Strategic Competition Act and he hasn’t moved very far on immigration policy, so in much of his domain where he could do something he hasn’t been able to do it.\n\n“The world he inherited was dangerous and uncertain, and under Joe Biden the world is still a little dangerous and uncertain.\n\n“He hasn’t relived any of these great problems and I think he’s exacerbated them.” \n\nMr Siracusa said human rights was driving President Biden’s foreign policy.\n\n“Many Americans are committed to human rights, and Biden’s one of these guys who’s driving his foreign policy by leading it with the human rights issue which is something that’s very typical of the past, not typical of most Republicans who put human rights on the backburner,” he said.\n\n“They don’t say it's unimportant, they just don’t let it drive policy.\n\n“He’s driving the human rights issue for all its worth whether it's Ukraine or Russia or China or places like that.” Oh... and what grade did he give to Trump.... ? hahaha Hahaha -- This is his criteria... '“He hasn’t reassured North Korea, he’s insulted the Russians, he’s insulted the Chinese ...' These are America's enemies for decades... He should focus on ScoMo and leave Joe alone. Teach Scomo how to succeed as a PM.

Biden lifts US's refugee cap to 62,500 following backlash for keeping Trump's targetThe backflip comes just two weeks after the Biden administration announced it would keep the cap at the historically low level of 15,000 set by former US president Donald Trump.
