Energy bills are set to skyrocket for UK residents in October, potentially leading to more deaths than the 10,000 people who already die each year due to cold homes.

abc.net.au/news/poverty-looms-for-9-million-britons-warns-charity-as-energy-pric/101378974A British charity is warning millions of people in the UK are at risk of poverty and death, after the national energy regulator announced power bills in the United Kingdom were about to jump 80 per cent for consumers.

"10,000 people die every year in the UK directly because of a cold home. That number is going to skyrocket," Mr Scorer said. "It is simply unaffordable for millions of people in Britain, and it's already caused huge amounts of privation, debt, anxiety and grief, and it will only get worse as we head into winter," he said.

Analysis from energy consultancy Cornwell Insights shows that the rising trajectory for household energy bills is going to gain pace. The two Conservative Party candidates vying for the leadership, Liz Truss and Rishi Sunak, are travelling the country campaigning until September 5, when party members will select the next prime minister.

Putin to blame for UK’s high energy bills, says Johnson on surprise visit to KyivPrime minister says while Britons face higher costs, Ukrainians are ‘paying in their blood’ for Russia’s aggression No mate. The blame was the people owned the power company, but selfish governments from the pass sold them to profit makers instead!! Eg. Look across the pond at France, where they own the power! Has their shot up! NOPE!! Privatisation only works to feed greed, Not the public Why is everything his and Trump’s fault? I don’t like either, but my god people blame them for everything.
