In pictures: How south-east Queensland's 'rain bomb' and flood disaster unfoldedIn the past week parts of south-east Queensland received 'scary' amounts of rain, dams from the Sunshine Coast to the Gold Coast hit capacity, and the region dealt with major flooding. SEQincidents Once again all the suburbs that have never been flooded, but got flooded this time have been forgotten. As an American, seeing photos like this where the power lines are UNDER that water in the picture, makes me think of New Orleans after Katrina. I don’t know how prone to floods in general these areas are, but the amount of water seen is just astonishing. Obviously not normal. Rain bomb? What? Search at BOM_Vic for rain bomb and it responds with: Did you mean rainbow? Really , stop making up rubbish terms that just mean 'lots of rain' 🙄🤦

A lot more of the town centre was under water as numerous photos show.

Buses restricted, trains down but toll roads free after Brisbane floodPublic transportation is still causing issues for workers who are returning to work on Wednesday after days of flooding throughout south-east Queensland. There shouldn't be any toll roads. It should not be a privilege to not be stuck in traffic and it should also be in the very interest of authorities that people take the shortest way from a to b and reduce pollution and congestion. Epic fail.
