Rural Doctors Association of Australia CEO Peta Rutherford says the health access “issue and burden” for Australians living in rural communities is a “real challenge” and has an impact on their health outcomes.

“We see a lot of pressure on the regional hospital system and often that comes out when rural hospitals

don’t have the staff and aren’t able to provide the services locally,” Ms Rutherford told Sky News Australia.
