It’s like teaching -?you wouldn’t be an authority figure in Australia because there is just no respect

Teachers are brain washers, doctors are drug dealers, police are gangsters and soldiers are contract killers.

This further justifies calls for an independent body to be put into place to investigate police officers, rather than police investigating police

Anyone who has dealt with teenagers can understand how this might have occurred. Ha ha. Thanks - Spiff

Again shows why Independent body necessary to investigate police not internal body. auspol sapol

“Bungled”?

A blatant injustice. Wouldn't surprise me if the investigation was bungled on purpose by their mates. We cannot trust cops to investigate their own; re-open the investigation and let outsiders carry it out.

how convenient.

Police launch probe into flood deaths - 9NewsAn investigation has been launched into the actions of police after the two men they had been searching for over a break-in died in floodwaters in Townsville. Why are the police being investigated? They were searching for two criminals whom instead of being in a safe place of refuge, were out trying to break into a business. They’ve only got themselves to blame for what’s happened. Darwinaward So these two men were actually robbing a store when they were swept away. I have my money on the cops - just trying to stop two mongrel criminals...who got their right whack in the end.

Commissioner resigns as explosive information reveals Informer 3838 registered as police informer 10 years earlierExplosive information has come to light revealing the defence barrister at the centre of the Informer 3838 scandal was registered as a police informer 10 years earlier than Victoria Police previously admitted. Bit of a mess, this.... PS Why I declined to register informants... others access the information. They signed her up in 1995, quite early in her career. She was still a law student in 1993.

Crime Stoppers call centre to remain open but under police watchNot everyone is convinced despite government assurances that Queensland's Crime Stoppers call centre will continue to operate normally after it returns to police control. Crimestoppers is a good brand. Need to be careful that the integrity and capabilities of this important community service does not generates mistrust and abuse of systems within. Better funding is warranted as offsets tax payers cost and criminal financial gain - and lives too. Something Dodgy here , bit like AnnaBligh s protecting WhistleBlowers , passed Legislation , then quietly watered it down , Political Hypocrisy its worse

'It wasn't aliens': Russian police reopen 60-year-old cold caseTheories about how nine students died on a ski trek in the Ural Mountains in 1959 range from yetis, to UFOs to a Soviet government conspiracy. Now Russian police hope to finally explain the mystery surrounding the Dyatlov Pass Incident. Dunno what more they expect to find. Likely story is that a military aircraft flew overhead, they thought it was an avalanche and fled only to get caught in a blizzard; some attempted to go ahead and fell into a ravine while the others tried to get back and couldn't make it. *sigh* It's never aliens
