Police have told an Adelaide court they may need to recreate a prankster's stunt, which would involve filling a car with water to test how it handles on the road, to prove it was dangerous.

Today in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court, the police prosecutor said more evidence may be needed to prove the stunt could be considered driving in a reckless or dangerous manner without due care.
