Northern Territory Police say they have not ruled out foul play as they investigate the death of a woman in her 40s at a bush camp in a Darwin suburb overnight.

Police are investigating the death of a woman in her 40s at a bush camp in the Darwin suburb of Karama early this morning, and say they have not ruled out foul play.

Northern Territory Police said a police vehicle was flagged down on Vanderlin Drive just after 12.30am by a man seeking assistance for the woman.NT Police Detective Senior Sergeant Jakson Evans said police were yet to determine how the woman died, and asked the public to report any information that could assist.

"It is too early in the investigation to say whether or not there was any foul play involved, and we are treating the death as suspicious until it is determined otherwise," he said.
