Parramatta are aiming to have a new head coach by the end of June, ruling out Michael Maguire as the club weighs up left-field and untried options.

Michael Maguire has been ruled out of contention for the Parramatta coaching job as CEO Jim Sarantinos says the Eels are prepared to back a rookie mentor, or left-field option Michael Cheika, to fill one of the NRL’s toughest jobs.
