Just a week out from a planned visit by Scott Morrison, the future of the PNG Prime Minister James Marape is now in question as several MPs cross the floor to help the Opposition take control.

The future of Papua New Guinea's Prime Minister James Marape is in doubt after a significant move against him in Parliament.

Several MPs crossed the floor to join the Opposition, which has now taken control on the floor and voted to suspend Parliament.The Opposition is not able to immediately move a vote of no confidence in Mr Marape for parliamentary procedural reasons."Well, I'm not going to speculate on those events," Mr Morrison said at news of the move against Mr Marape.
