Plot twist: Millennials are getting the 'OK Boomer' treatment from Gen Z

When “OK Boomer” became the standard response last year from Millennials to dismiss the attitudes to the things they didn’t like about the older generation, many Baby Boomers were frustrated.

"I personally don’t want to be associated with people who still think that Harry Potter movies are a personality trait.”For years now, the term “Millennial” has been used as a catch-all for anyone young. In reality, it’s another name for Gen Y, a demographic that applies to people born between 1981 and 1996.

Gen Z, a.k.a. Zoomers, are using social media app TikTok to vent their frustration with being lumped in with Gen Y.looks at the camera and delivers this stunning burn: “I’m tired of Boomers bunching Gen Z and Millennials together, because I personally don’t want to be associated with people who still think thatMillennials are grappling with the realisation they are no longer at the forefront of youth culture.

For Millennials, perhaps used to feeling an affinity with Zoomers as they have been collectively dismissed by older generations, it can be shocking to realise that actually, Gen Z don’t like them either.
