Up to 100,000 undocumented farm workers could be allowed to stay in Australia under a plan to address a labour crisis gripping the agriculture industry.

A report by the National Agriculture Labour Advisory Committee recommends the sector establish an amnesty program for workers without visas.

It says the program could fix labour shortages while mitigated public health risks arising from undocumented workers. Recommendations also aim to crackdown on employees exploiting workers.

Let them stay. Thank God their hear. Block the Job seeker to all those that should be working but refuse to.

TRUTH.... I was out of work not long back and born and bred Aussie. So I thought growers are whinging Aussies won't do the work. I applied and heard nothing for months. Truth is they don't want Aussies they want cheap labour likely cash in hand. Who don't have rights.

What’s everyone complaining about? Those who want to work, can (and for a decent wage mind you. It’s picking fruit, so what do they expect). And the lazy welfare thieves can stay on their couch. It’s win win. What’s the problem?

So to keep your amnesty you must stay at fruit picking. Anything goes wrong you're threatened with deportation. These workers are already in the economy working. Amnesty for those who testify against employers who withhold their passports & house them in illegal boarding.

But weren't we giving to the farmers for the drought? Or was that the flood? Oh now we have so much produce we need undocumented workers? seems legit if you are a sucker! LOL

Skave labor

Farmers should pay decent wages if they want Australians to do it.

Typical Liberal government allowing slave workers to take Australian jobs

If they are Chinese send them back

Do. Not. Do. It. Plus, why don't lazy Aussies do the work? Why are foreigners suitable? Ain't that a tad racist?

Why this video only show aussies We all know those undocumented workers are mainly from China, in fact at least 95% are and what’s sad is they’re treated like slaves!! Can’t believe our government is allowing this!

New campaign...'START THE BOATS'

We need to build a wall. 🤬🖕🏻

Australians need 'comprehensive jobs plan' post JobKeeper | Sky News AustraliaShadow Treasurer Jim Chalmers says the government’s $1.2 billion tourism stimulus package was not enough and Australians needed a comprehensive jobs plan.\n\nAs part of the package 800,000 discounted airline tickets will be made available to Australians in a bid to restore the tourism, travel and aviation industries.\n\n“We got some subsidised airfares and I think most people have concluded that waving around a mocked up plane ticket and dressing up as a pilot is no substitute for a proper jobs plan that recognises we’ve got two million Australians unemployed or unable to find the hours that they need,” Mr Chalmers told Sky News.\n\n“We’ve got stagnant wages, we’ve got pockets of struggling businesses and workers around Australia. This just doesn’t go near far enough to deal with all of those challenges.”\n It's a rort. Big buisness corporate welfare. The ultimate in trickle down idiocy. Don't support workers. Don't inject money into towns or communities. Don't give tourists vouchers to spend IN these destinations. No, fund the mega corporations instead And QANTAS pays zero tax! JEChalmers is a lot like AlboMP all talk and nothing substantial on what they would do, but I guess when swann is your mentor there is never enough spending. AlboMP does not have what it takes to lead Australia through the current economic, social and growth issues

Coalition propose plan to expose companies 'virtue signaling' about climate change | Sky News AustraliaSky News host Rowan Dean says Energy Minister Angus Taylor is proposing a policy to expose companies which are virtue signaling about climate action without a proper plan.\n\nAn article released by The Australian suggested the Energy Minister was planning on naming and shaming companies without a plan for reaching net zero, however Mr Dean said Mr Taylor had since clarified he was proposing the opposite of what The Australian reported.\n\n“What he’s saying is it’s not about naming and shaming companies for not reaching net zero, it’s naming and shaming companies virtue signaling … about getting to net zero by 2030 or 2050 and yet it’s pure fabrication,' Mr Dean said.\n\n“Angus’ point is this put’s ridiculous pressure on the government when all these different companies are coming out and saying we’re going to get to net zero with no idea how to.\n\n“If you’ve got a plan to get there great let everybody know the plan but if not shut up and stop virtue signaling.'\n\nSky News host Rita Panahi said, if the journalists are misunderstanding it perhaps the companies are misunderstanding it and thinking we need to be even more green”.\n\nShe highlighted the importance of a clear, cohesive message being presented to the public so companies did not receive the wrong impression. \n 🤷🏻‍♂️ Will that doc from Taylor be a real document or doctored like document he used to defame Clover Moore to try & get his wife into the position (or at least make the position available) auspol Is Sky News the media arm of the LNP is is LNP the politucal arm of NewsCorp auspol That is classic comedy gold. Who is Angus' comedy writer? (markhumphries ?) It will be so funny when the first to be exposed is the Liberal Party of Australia Inc.
