Retailers in Darwin's CBD say crime among drunken itinerants is 'out of control', prompting calls for a stronger police presence.

"It's scaring the living daylight out of the tourists, they come in and hide in my shop," he said.

"As retailers, we've seen what's happened in Tennant Creek and Katherine. We've just lost Alice Springs, I fear that's where we're heading if we don't get this under control.""This is the worst Christmas I've had in the CBD and I've got 15 years I've been in the CBD, people are voting with their feet and not coming into the city," he explainedHe said he had installed a lockable panic room in the back of his gallery for staff.

Nigel said the security guards were limited in what they could do, as they could not touch nor arrest people."Surely that money would be better put back into the police force."Police crime statistics show there were 58 per cent more business break-ins in Darwin this year than last year, property damage was up 12 per cent, but assaults dropped by 11 per cent.

Our First Nations people claiming the reparations they are due. It will be great when they have a Voice to Parliament!

Amazing! ABC are usually the first to raise race. No mention of race in here at all. Have they changed their race baiting ways? Or is race only relevant when it comes to wicked white people?

Just start flogging them

People are scared because you keep telling them to be!

The PM has the power to do something about this but he thinks it’s more important to spend hundreds of millions on the Voice & funding legal bills for land claims.

It is spelt 'drunken indigenous'.

Thanks to all the people who call out ABC's BS and ratio ABC. 👍

A Voice in parliament wont fix it, leadership on the streets will

You got your traditional lands back so go and live there instead of fucking up other communities lives

this is where society breaks down things of value are taken due to lawlessness and a sense of entitlement

Need to give them a Voice.

Why would they do something. They get accused of racism, excessive force and everything else. Can’t blame them. Send Lidia Thorpe there to fix it.

The ABC has suddenly forgotten the phrase “First Nations” for some unknown reason

Can’t arrest them because ABC will cry racism

Perhaps retailers' need for a voice to Parliament is greater than that of 'drunken itinerants'.

The trouble makers are all aborigines, ABCNews. Is that relevant, do you think❓Of course it is and you need to say so. Not mentioning that, being too woke to mention it, is helping to prevent the problems being solved constructively for all. Especially the aborigines❗️

Who are you trying to not name? 'drunken itinerants' 'As retailers, we've seen what's happened in Tennant Creek and Katherine. We've just lost Alice Springs, I fear that's where we're heading if we don't get this under control.' NameTheProblem

Four people dead after helicopter crash on the Gold CostAt least four people are dead and three more are in critical condition after two helicopters collided on the Gold Coast. A further six people have minor injuries, mainly from glass shrapnel. Queensland police have confirmed that there were 13 people on board the helicopters when they crashed mid-air near the Sea World theme park. Horrendous - and it didn’t look like an “accident” on the footage that the news shared earlier … no idea what those pilots weredoing but I don’t think there’s a valid or acceptable answer anywhere for the families that were involved in this negligence 😳😔 Another bitcoiner?
