Diplomatic tensions have erupted after Israel called in the Australian ambassador following the Albanese government’s reversal of the “cynical” recognition ofIsraeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid blasted the decision, saying Jerusalem was the “eternal and united capital of Israel and nothing will ever change that”.
