Senator Hanson said she will work constructively with Labor if they are elected, but would not support any tax increases.

"I won't wear increasing taxes on the people, and I will not wear taking away the franking credits for independent retirees," she said.Today host Deb Knight also questioned Senator Hanson on her falling numbers in the recent polls. "Of all the things you have faced, all the scandals that's been going on, can you blame people for having their doubts about One Nation and considering Clive over you?" Ms Knight asked."I've actually gone up since the last election, unlike your show, Deb, since you have taken you have gone down in your viewership," Senator Hanson said.

To which Knight replied: “I'm not having a go personally, it is my job to ask you questions that I think, as a journalist, I'm doing. I'm putting facts to you that that is what the Newspoll is showing, and obviously the polls have been wrong in the past, which is what you are indicating.”

Coalition has a chance with influence of Palmer and Hanson: Kenny | Sky News AustraliaSky News host Chris Kenny says his 'rule of thumb' is that the Coalition needs a primary vote of more than 42 to stand a chance of success at a federal election. \n\nThe latest Newspoll shows both major parties saw increases in the primary vote, with the Liberal Party leading Labor 39 to 37 per cent. \n\nWhile the Liberal Party has increased, Mr Kenny says it is still 'three short from that magic 42 number’. \n\nDespite this, he says this year is different due to the joint influence of Pauline Hanson and Clive Palmer, who are polling eight points together. \n\nMr Kenny says ‘this changed dynamic means there is a possibility the Coalition could win with a primary vote as low as 40’. \n\nImage: News Corp Australia \n\n\n\n\n\n Well, that is one short of 43 which is God’s for them because they couldn’t count that far in the latest Liberal leadership spill when Turnbull was knifed without an explanation. Liberals always need someone help, their are in collisions with National and even that is not enough to keep them in poverty, they need another 2-3 party’s to be voted in power, plus they need multinasionals and Murdoch Muppet to fix Election. It just shows how Liberals are popul Don’t worry Chris, when Labor win the election you can go back to full on criticism of them in govt. You carry on like it’s the end of the world.
