‘Each-way-Albo’ flips around on India ban: Paul Murray | Sky News AustraliaSky News host Paul Murray says the opposition leader has once again shown he is “each-way-Albo” after flip-flopping on the India travel ban.\n\nThe Morrison government has enforced a travel ban for all Australian citizens seeking to return home from India.\n\nFollowing the ban, the government made it illegal for people who spent time in India within 14 days of their intended arrival date in Australia to return home and imposed a $66,000 fine or five-year jail term for those found breaking the rules.\n\nOpposition Leader Anthony Albanese slammed the government on Sunday over both decisions, and said the Commonwealth has “obligations” to Australian citizens.\n\n“The government’s got to justify how it is that the figures from India are similar to what they’ve been in the past from the UK and the US, but we haven’t seen these sorts of measures,” Mr Albanese said.\n\n“Australia has obligations to our citizens to people who are Australians, not just to abandon them overseas but then to threaten them is quite an extraordinary action”.\n\nThe opposition leader changed his tune on Monday when asked whether the government should extend the travel ban beyond May 15.\n\n“Look we should take appropriate advice from health authorities about those issues,” he said.\n JohnBarilaroMP is a bigger flop stupidfatidiot superbarilarobruz Good to see he's moved on from what Trump orders for lunch.
