Sydneysiders copped a mixed bag of weather conditions on Sunday, with scattered showers across the city expected to hang around for Monday before mostly clearing in time for a warm and sunny Australia Day.

“The north and north-west of Sydney have had most of the rainfall activity, and there’s been a drop or two elsewhere.” People at Narrabeen Lakes enjoyed the patches of sunny weather on Sunday, in the midst of a wet summer.On Monday, the warm weather and potential for showers will remain as the mercury is tipped to reach a maximum of 26 degrees in the city and Liverpool, with a high of 27 degrees forecast in Penrith and Richmond.
