Annastacia Palaszczuk increased her majority largely through a tough COVID borders policy, in what was a reflection of the 2001 and 2013 federal election victories where a "tough on borders" mentality was a winner, says Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell. Premier Palaszczuk claimed a Labor victory, promising supporters across Queensland a “strong recovery plan” which will get the state back to work in the wake of the COVID-19 crisis.
