Sky News host Chris Kenny says a Queensland court’s recommendation against a new coal mine, on the basis it will work against the United Nations’ Paris agreement, is “nonsense.”

He said the final decision on this case rests with the Palaszczuk government and “we will see whether they want to bow to the UN too”.

“It pretends to know what economic prospects Queenslanders are entitled to, or more to the point, which prospects they should be denied,” he said.
