Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has claimed a Labor victory, promising supporters across Queensland a “strong recovery plan” which will get the state back to work in the wake of the COVID-19 crisis. “There’s nothing more important than family. There’s nothing more important than the dignity of work and people being able to get up every morning, to be able to provide for their family,” she said.

She went on to spruik a manufacturing-led recovery program, adding “I am confident we will do it with a majority Labor government”. “My team, we will roll up our sleeves and we will get back to work as quickly as possible for you,” she said.
