A victim of notorious South Australian paedophile Peter Liddy joins a call for child sex offenders to be stripped of their superannuation, and for the money to instead go towards redress.

The federal government has been contacted for comment.

"There's no exceptions under the Bankruptcy Act and people know they can go to jail, sell everything and come out and live a comfortable life based on money they've had set aside."Mr Carpenter said superannuation companies "across the board" had expressed support for the reform, which he described as a "no-brainer".

"This is something that has cost the taxpayers billions of dollars over the years. It's about time that taxpayers stopped paying for the sins of paedophiles. "We believe that Peter Liddy went out of his way to thwart his victims' claims, which added considerably to the boys' distress," she said.

Then the government would have to pay them a pension chuck them in jail for a very long time definitely but this achieves literally nothing for punishment and nothing for reform because being poor is directly linked to crime and we don't want these guys back in the underworld...

They should forfeit super via bringing back capital punishment.

This will massively incentivise false accusations. There is already mass hysteria about “stranger danger” and paranoia about paedophiles. Most child sexual abuse is by family members.

Shut down the pedophile halls of FABLES

From the Anglo-Christian community again like PM ScoMo but never identified as such by !

George Pell anyone

...cant do that! Then the GOVT would have to give them more pension...

but first they have to leave public office.

And assets

inside_cupboard Great idea!

The LNP would never allow that. They want their friends to retire comfortably.

Makes sense!!!!🧐🤵🏾‍♂️🧐

We we end up funding their retirement? Really?

Kim Jong Un's sister sends nuclear threat after 'hysteria' from South KoreaFor the second time this week, the powerful sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un berated South Korea for touting its supposed preemptive strike capabilities against the North. The United States would ANNIHILATE North Korea if they attack South's conventional forces north korea would be blown off the Map! i doubt Kim Yo Jong nothing but propaganda on her part! north korea isn't doing a damn thing! If her lips were fuller she'd be a model. Don't write her off. This is why other Asian countries are starting to debate the merits of having their own nuclear deterrent. I would no be surprised if South Korea and Japan are seriously considering this.
