Pacific countries have pledged aid and offered support to Australia as devastating bushfires continue to rage across the country.

Twitter Jenny Da Rin: Thank you #Vanuatu. Australia is grateful for your friendship and support at this difficult time. #PacificFamily @govofvanuatuinvest in renewable energy and"climate and disaster resilience".Witness the devastation from the air in aerial photos taken before and after Cyclone Pam hit Vanuatu.

Some Vanuatu seasonal workers have been directly impacted by the fires and are currently in limbo in Wagga Wagga, unsure of their future in Australia. The farms they were working on survived the weekend fires but group spokesman James Walau said it is not safe to move back at the moment. "Papua New Guinea conveys our sympathies, sorrow and grief in your moment of pain," Prime Minister James Marape wrote on Facebook.
