Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has described the Voice as an 'outstretched hand' ready to be grasped by Australians.

Voice referendum to be held this year.Australians have an opportunity to show their best qualities, fairness and generosity, by supporting the First Nations Voice to Parliament this year, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has said.

Mr Albanese reflected on the successful 1967 referendum, when 90 per cent of Australians voted to remove a constitutional provision that said Indigenous people would not be included in the census. Mr Albanese confirmed he was open to "improving" the draft wording which he proposed at the Garma festival more than six months ago, but stressed no member of the Opposition had suggested any alterations. He accused the No campaign of "drumming outrage [and] trying to start a culture war", something he described as the "inevitable consequence" of attempting to achieve change.

Australians have the power to refute Albanese 's dishonest smoke and mirrors, vote no to this nonsense and INSIST OUR GOVERNMENT consult with/listen to first nations re their culture/wellbeing AS THEY SHOULD ALWAYS HAVE DONE .... no legislation needed, just the will to do it.

Albo: Why not commit your Labor government to support The Voice at the Referendum?

So why the fuck Albo would not commit his government to support the referendum on the Voice? All talk, and gutless

More like an outstretched middle finger to non indigenous people

Ready to slap us across the face.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

or more correctly as: Institutionalised racism based on skin colour entrenched into the Constitution = Apartheid

Fancy lie. It's an OUTSTRETCHED NOOSE for all already discriminated non-aboriginals; settlers, migrants and refugees and their children. It enshrines a Master Race and further divides Australia between one race and 25 million secondclass Australians. It enshrines INEQUALITY.

Total waste of $$$ , this is just a sneaky way through the back door to set things up to become a banana republic. Money would be better spent on fixing hospitals and housing . More and more people living on streets and in pain . Fix this 😡

We already give indigenous ‘committees’ $30B. Where does that money go? Obviously not where it should. How about we vote Yes to the voice provided that we stop with the $30B.

And choke them🤣

This is not a ‘culture war’. It is not a ‘toxic debate’. It is how our Labor party and institutions have become captured by an ideology which is as absurd as the flat earth theory. It works in tandem with censorship, where anyone raising questions about it is branded a racist

Or ‘Catch-up Football’. Take all the work done and write the legislation that both houses can debate and vote on - then ask an informed ThePeople whether they say yes or no. Stop the games AlboMP LindaBurneyMP DoYourJob

grasping it will be easy .........working out why is it

here's my outstretched hand to Albo... 🖕

Wouldn’t of thought so

And if you dont agree with him you’re a racist!

So far all we’re getting from Albo is waffly motherhood statements.

I believe that a lot of these so called 'politicians' seem to forget that they work in the Public Service. They're job is to give service to the public as a job working FOR the public, not themselves

no its racist

🤣🤣🤣

You telling us MH370 flew around here completely undetected by these military bases created to detect

Vote yes

The hand has been stretched far enough already.

You already have 2 voices in parliament. Use them instead

A hand that has just wiped its arse....

From this guy - a proud Aboriginal. Not an Irish backpacker.

Outrageous racist policy he means

But this maintains the lie that there is not consulatatiin currently. Are you saying the agency’s both state and federal and the other 150 plus service funded by the government including elders, including ceo of land councils including 11 senators who identify all this is no voice

The 'outstretched hand' is not Australian? voteno auspol

Yeah, but the fanatics in the movement only want revenge. An outstretched hand that becomes a fist.... If it walks like a duck.....

“Obviously on the face of it the provision is racist. It allows racist laws, it allows discriminatory laws and on the face of the Constitution that is a bad thing.” Dr Twomey Section 51, 5.15 auspol TheVoice Section51 racism

Thoughts on section 51 (xxvi) of the Constitution? - The Parliament shall…have power to make laws for…“the people of any race for whom it is deemed necessary to make special laws;” I admit I was shocked to find literal ‘institutional racism’ in our constitution! auspol

It will be run by indigenous dictators and won't be a true voice.

More an ‘outstretched hand’ to slap Australians across the face. It’s a gaslighting race-hustling fraud. Australians say NO.

All high level sop. Give us the details

Outstretched by whom? All I see is inner city so called 'Indigenous ' wanting to go to war with the white man.

You speak with forked tongue White fella!

An outstretched hand in a glove. We don’t know what’s inside.

It’s an outstretched hand looking for cash and unequal power

He really is a wanker & wasteful retch. He be perfect for the council full of garbage & nothing of value.

The only reasons to vote No are racism and/or ignorance

Still kind of waiting for the clear explanation of the working version of it. The other fella on twitter says vote no though

This will be Albos downfall.

An outreached hand ready to accept money.

Albanese says Indigenous voice next step in reconciliation and opponents ‘trying to start a culture war’In a speech on Sunday, PM to argue referendum comes at a time of increasing polarisation when democracy needs to be ‘protected’ Quote: ABC issues apology over ‘biased’ coverage of Alice Springs community meeting.
