China has declared it won't 'yield to colonization of ideas and values' and says Liberal MPs Andrew Hastie and Senator James Paterson will need to 'repent and redress their mistakes'

China has declared it won't"yield to colonization of ideas and values" and says Liberal MPs Andrew Hastie and Senator James Paterson will need to"repent and redress their mistakes" if they want to visit the country.

Earlier Senator Paterson said he believed he and his colleague Mr Hastie were barred from visiting China for raising the country's treatment of the Uighur minority group and the imprisonment of Australian citizen Dr Yang Hengjun. The Victorian Senator told SBS News"outspoken" views had probably led to the ban.

Chinese-Australian author and blogger Dr Yang Hengjun was detained earlier this year, accused by Chinese authorities of spying. A Chinese Embassy spokesperson on Saturday issued a statement saying the country was open to"constructive dialogue and exchanges with people all around the world".

Australia since AT LEAST APEC Forum in PNG has SENT signal to NYSE & ASX FinancialReview to 'Diversify Portolios' bc China per 'Sovereign Risk' to others, orbits 'Closed State' w/ 'Client States' overturning 'Puppet Dictatorship.' Next stop was ie Vietnam & India. :) Auspol

China says: We can do you but you can’t do us. FreeHK

Repent? For a godless country, that’s a rather biblical word to use.

Kowtow kowtow kowtow - it’s all the Chinese have ever wanted

I don't understand why these morons thought a holiday in China was on after the crap they threw down!

Insult a authoritarian regime and feign surprise when you don’t get an invite to dinner. The other way to get attention is to ride a horse naked through town.

China won't yield to colonisation but China are quite happy to buy up businesses like the baby formula company or Australian mines.

If Patterson and Hastie want to be politicians they need to go back to school and learn Ideologies 101. This is where they sit and it’s where Hitler sat as well.

china completely has the right to decide who comes to their country and the circumstances in which they come.auspol

Communism is for short men.

RachelBkr thus proving the very point ...

I wonder if this little trip had something to do with it 🤔 Whatcha reckon ScottMorrisonMP 🤷🤦

Exactly why China cannot be trusted and is absolutely obsessed with protecting its communistic agenda ... after all .. imagine the critical mass that could potentially turn on the current government.

Marx and Buddha has already colonized China

The world won’t yield to another cruel dictatorship who is trying to eliminate an entire section of their population based on religion.. The Nazis were the last so let us trade with others eh ?

Keep your friends close and your enemies closer

China is a Communist dictatorship, with zero human rights and only allows complete devotion to the Party. Not yielding to colonisation of ideas and values is party speak meaning we intend to keep our population under the dictators jackboot.

Interesting, as China seem hell bent on colonising us with their backward values. Also interesting that China deny visa's based on criticism of China, yet we let them in by the hundreds of thousands, and even let them buy our land. Our Politicians are easily played for fools.

I get that it's bad for an authoritarian state to say, 'You've been mean to us so you can't travel here.' On the other hand I can't imagine anyone feeling especially hospitable toward these two complete and utter bastards.
