The telecommunications giant has tasked credit monitoring service Equifax to monitor the web for any signs of fraudulent activity related to affected Optus customers.
The exercise is likely to prove costly for Optus, given personal details of 9.8 million customers were exposed, and of thoseA top-level subscription at Equifax can cost up to $14.95 a month.
