Only one principal has passed an improvement program since 2015 | pallavisinghal_

Only seven NSW public school principals have gone through a formal improvement program in the past five years and just one has successfully completed the program.

He said the department had worked with the NSW Teachers Federation to streamline "some of the processes" but that staff were ultimately expected to meet set standards. About 14 per cent of teachers passed the improvement program in 2018-19, while 9 per cent passed in 2017-18, 3 per cent passed in 2016-17 and 12 per cent passed in 2015-16.

Principals who are deemed to be falling short of performance standards are referred to a 10-week improvement program by their director of educational leadership, who looks after a network of 20 principals, while teachers are generally referred to the relevant improvement program by their principal. "It's clearly delineated what standards you're not achieving and then if you've shown required improvement that's fine, and if not, it might be determined that you're not an efficient manager, in which case there may be a demotion," Mr Petersen said. "In the most extreme cases you could be fired."

Another inquiry won't make the banks pass on rate cuts — but this idea might workIf borrowers could better judge the deal offered by their bank or mortgage holder, competition would increase, and banks would likely pass on rate cuts. Why would they do anything not in their interest. The RC proved, beyond any shadow of a doubt, the banks are a law unto themselves. A few minutes in front of some sour faced commissioner was worth every cent of the bonus payments. Now back to how to rip off customers.

Nationalise it. Guarantee it. final report out-rather die of cancer then go into aged care One day I am going to get old and will need care. I'd prefer to carry euthanasia pack/kit on me. If the facility is short staffed, I better do something to ease my pain and not live. It'd be hard to watch nurses working under pressure as well.

Treasurer lashes big banks over rate cutsThe competition watchdog will investigate mortgage costs and look at why banks have not passed on official interest rate cuts in full to their customers. Banks are business, not charities Our treasurer is a fucking clown. The banks are not charities. What he needs to do is shine light on the top executives remuneration packages and the gaps between them and the rest of the companies. The Treasurer should know the information about the cost of funds of the banks. Seems odd he wouldn’t know and odder he would go public and show his ignorance.
