His mother, Lorraine Mackay, says the response to her callout for help on social media has been 'tremendous' Ms Mackay says the response has been a boost for Jacob, who has struggled socially after he was diagnosed with Asperger'sDiagnosed with Asperger's syndrome as a child, collecting keyrings has been a hobby of Jacob's.
"He started out with 57 and jokingly said one day said it would be cool to break the world record," Jacob's mother, Lorraine Mackay said. "The world record is 62,257 and from an estimated count with receiving parcels, we're up to 1,800 at the moment."Last month, Loraine published a Facebook post asking for friends and family to send Jacob a keyring for his birthday."This is one of the only photos I have of him smiling. A very rare occasion."He is keyring obsessed and one day would like to break the world record for keyrings and key chains ."Jacob Mackay has already received around 1,800 keyrings.
