Victoria has recorded three more cases of COVID-19 overnight, taking the state's total to 1349. 9News

There are now 21 coronavirus patients being treated in Victorian hospitals, 10 of whom are in intensive care.

Ms Mikakos said testing of the sewerage system would soon begin to detect whether the virus was present in different communities across the state. Ms Mikakos confirmed the state government was sticking to its position on schools, despite NSW announcing students will return to face-to-face teaching for one day a week in three weeks' time.

While schools did not appear to be areas of significant transmission, more evidence was needed, he said.
