Fewer than one in 10 refugees and asylum-seekers transferred to Australia under the medevac laws has actually required hospital treatment.

The head of Operation Sovereign Borders Major General Craig Furini told Senate Estimates there were 135 people transferred to Australia for medical reasons. Senators were also told that 10 asylum seekers were still being detained in Papua New Guinea, despite being approved for evacuation under the "medevac" regime.

Gotta twist those facts, don’t we Sky? Here’s a hint: ‘urgent medical attention’ can also be provided by clinics, not just hospitals. It doesn’t have to be life threatening to be urgent, and many of the conditions presented are better treated in the community (like depression).

Con artists.

What a surprise

The boats have stopped coming. That's what's important, because people have stopped drowning, and people smugglers are no longer making money.

Says who ? Says Dutton .Its nog as though the lnp hasn’t got a track record of being lose with reality .

Come in spinner😁

Interesting qualifier: 'Required hospital treatment' I wonder how many standard punters take a sick day off and don't go to hospital. Also if there's a mental health concern why cannot it be that it is serious yet not need hospitalisation? Stinks. Very reptilian.

The loophole works

weren’t doctors ticking them off as requiring medical help?

Racket by low level Australian whites. Think Phelps and Greens.

AmberX994874 Why hasn't the Govt repealed the legislation then?

Yet we are still letting the parasites in

Medivac should be cancelled!!

Fraud yet again. Hold the doctors that authorised the transfers accountable. Make a stand.

Tax reform needed in Australia to change 'messy' rules | Sky News AustraliaSky News host Chris Kenny says Australia “desperately” needs a tax reform shake-up.\n\n“We desperately need a shake up because we have a messy taxation and federation system, Canberra raises most of the money while the states spend most of it,” he said.\n\n“But the states are often a big problem here, they kinda like that situation where the nasty tax collection is done by Canberra but they get to be the good guys who spend it.\n\n“And we always have to be wary of governments raising more money rather than taking the tough decisions to make sure they waste less.”\nThe NSW Coalition government is conducting a study to come up with some meaningful tax reform.\n\n“We are told it will work closely with the Victorian Labor government to settle on detailed proposals next year,” Mr Kenny said.\n\n taxchoices ? Kenny is insignificant. No one has the political backbone to do this.
