The state has recorded one case of COVID-19 in a returned traveller in the past 24 hours, as community sports welcomed back parents just in time for grand finals.with many families keen to travel to other parts of Australia.

Lisa and Liam Hancock were able to watch Noah play for the Waverley Old Boys under-9s team on Saturday.Mrs Hancock said it was great to see regulations relax and thanked the organisers, coaches and everyone else behind the scenes for continuing to run community sporting events despite the pandemic."It makes you appreciate the simple things in life," she said.

"The atmosphere was completely different," he said of having spectators at the game. "It adds another level of enjoyment to the sport ... It was nice to able to get some sort of normality."This year was also the final year Mr Findlay coaches Aaron's team as his youngest moves up an age division. Thankfully, Aaron's team finished with a win.
