'On alert the whole time': Death adders invade couple's kitchen, laundry and dining room

Ms Gray said her pet dog had become an expert at detecting the deadly adders.

"She's become very adept at raising our awareness and moving the snakes without getting bitten herself," Ms Gray said. As conservationists, Ms Gray and Mr Woods said they were committed to caring for all animals on the property and had not contemplated killing the death adders. Instead they relocate them."We're able to put a bag down and move them into the bag ... with a long stick or a broom.Ms Gray said such a phenomenon has never occurred at the property before and just why it was occurring was a mystery.

"They were eating the toads, the toads would poison them and the death adders would die," he explained.

Maybe the mice and rats never left. If you insist on not using poisons you can only really rely on predators....
