Newton-John passed away peacefully at her ranch in Southern California this morning, surrounded by family and friends, Easterling said. “We ask that everyone please respect the family’s privacy during this very difficult time,” the statement said. Newton-John was born in 1948 in Cambridge, in the United Kingdom, but when she was six, her family emigrated to Melbourne, and as a teenager emerged as a rising pop star.Read more:
