An off-duty paramedic has died in an incident in Adelaide , the state’s ambulance service has confirmed. Emergency services were called to the incident at Outer Harbour at 5.45pm on Monday, where Stuart Brand , a paramedic of 16 years, died. South Australian Police said Brand’s death was not being treated as suspicious. SA Ambulance Service released a statement on behalf of Brand’s family on Tuesday, saying the long-time paramedic would be dearly missed.
With his extensive tenure and diverse roles, he touched the lives of many within our workforce,” the statement said. “His absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of working alongside him. “At SAAS, we operate as a close-knit group, and the loss of one of our own deeply affects us all.
