Residents in Greater Sydney will be granted more freedoms from Monday as New South Wales edges closer to reaching their 70 per cent double dose vaccination goal.

Children 12 and under will not be included in that number meaning five adults with children of that age will still be able to gather. A specific date is yet to be announced, however, Ms Berejiklian confirmed it will be the first Monday after the 70 per cent mark is reached, which is expected to be around mid-October.
