NSW MP apologises for calling Labor leader 'quite stupid' in mask stoush

NSW Health Minister Brad Hazzard has admitted he was "a little frustrated" when he called Labor leader Jodi McKay "quite stupid" during a heated parliamentary exchange over face masks.

It began with an interview on 2GB with Ben Fordham when Mr Hazzard said if masks were to be made mandatory in the state, it could lead to huge demand. Ms McKay questioned whether there was a shortage of masks in the state, and the back and forth reached boiling point during Question Time yesterday afternoon.

Mr Hazzard branded the opposition leader a "goose", a "pork chop", and "quite stupid" when it was suggested there was not enough masks for all of NSW.Mr Hazzard responded: "You certainly need one… would you just be quiet?NSW Health Minister Brad Hazzard.

Not one of Brad’s fans but I’m with him on this. Have never heard a positive nor complimentary comment come from Jodie. Narky, nasty woman ☹️

But he is quite stupid

When can you not call another person quite stupid ? When they are a female ! This is what we have created in this world.

He should resign. It was a terrible display of raw bullying and harassment. And to suggest it was secondary to frustration... ridiculous

I must admit I am finding the her annoying and very aggressive and she hasn’t said once positive word in any interview I have seen. Well done BradHazzard you are doing a good job under crazy circumstances.

The way BradHazzard carried on that day was embarrassing and disgraceful for the health minister of NSW. Honestly Embarrassed to see we have ministers in positions who behave like that and think it’s funny.

I was appalled to see the BradHazzard footage. But it’s so refreshing to read of them appearing together with an apparently sincere apology from Brad to Jodi.

Well he’s right, she is quite stupid!.
