southernriverin Bring on a RC. It will expose the poor assumptions in the modeling used for the Basin Plan and throw open the poor management of the lower lakes and Coorong by the Labour SA government over many years. Will even highlight the incompetence of the Federal Department.

Won’t happen unless Labor win government in NSW. Current NSW government will keep to the spin that the drought has caused this disaster. Given the mounting evidence I think we all know that’s not quite true, however, I predict that will be the line from Blair and the Premier.

No more INQUIRIES Needed. ACTION & charges for water theft & Storage of stolen element. On a GRAND SCALE.

barnaby_joyce should be hanged all this and so many disasters fall at his feet. The government should stop protecting their own interests and do something positive for their constituents governmentdoesntcare

The Darling River, the Great Barrier Reef, the kelp forests of Tasmania. Are Rose Bay and St Kilda the only part of Australia the current government cares about?

The problems with these special enquiries the results get sat on for as long as the government in power want, not good enough let alone the chance of doctored reports

RC inquiries can be trusted in a untrustworthy government system we live in, answer the question once and for all, millions of taxpayers money been spent on plans legislation policies etc. Let's put this to bed, there are obvious weather changes hotter summers and less rainfall

Should water treatment plants be put in place to help remediate the water quality and who pays for it ?

A retrospective inquiry is fine. But it’s hardly the urgent intervention that’s required right now.

MaryanneSlatte1 Hypocrisy- given they supported ending water buybacks at federal and State levels

the Ecological Disaster is called big business & foreign interest in this country

Cubbies Station buy-back and closure anyone?

We don’t need another inquiry. Everyone knows it’s the Cotton Growers upstream taking all the H2O! Including the Growers themselves! Selfish Mongrels!

Barnaby Joyce should be in handcuffs by now not at home diddling the secretary.

Don’t you know there is a drought in the country

Just got straight to the source of the problem... Barnaby_Joyce and The_Nationals 👍🏻 auspol barnabyaintfitforpurpose

NIGHTMARE IN 2019 .. Oh good, a study! Maybe for now release more water into the river. Pretty straightforward. Of course the all powerful & influential & intimidating cotton farmers may not like it but maybe tell them, for now, to suck it up.
