NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet pictured during a press conference at NSW Health Headquarters in St Leonards, Sydney, Monday, January 24, 2022.NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet has announced the state will extend its restrictions for another month as the state continues to battle the Omicron wave.

QR codes will continue to be compulsory at certain premises, including hospitality venues and retail shops."These measures are proportionate to taking a cautious approach as we move through," Mr Perrottet said.NSW Minister for Health Brad Hazzard encouraged those eligible for booster shots to get them as soon as possible.

"When I was a kid, you'd turn up to school and one of the things they'd do is immunise you against various diseases. What's wrong with us havening a old-fashioned immunisation program?" he told the Nine Network.
