NSW Treasurer Dominic Perrottet says the state is on the rebound in the wake of economic shock of the pandemic.NSW Treasurer Dominic Perrottet delivered his half-yearly budget review on Thursday, only three months after handing down a delayed pandemic budget in November.Advertisementand easing to 6 per cent last month.the initial recovery experienced in NSW has exceeded expectations,” the budget review said.

“The rollout to the broader public is still likely to commence from around mid-year, but is now forecast to reach 50 per cent of the population by the end of the September quarter ,” the review said. The budget review said unemployment had already peaked following last year’s recession and predicted the jobless rate would fall to 5 per cent by the end of 2023-24 - a quarter of a percentage point lower than forecast in November. The government has upwardly revised its revenue forecasts for key revenue sources including the GST, stamp duty and payroll tax because of improved expectations for consumer spending, the housing market and employment.

NSW Treasurer blasts 'selfish' Palaszczuk's refusal to pay $30m COVID-19 quarantine billNSW Treasurer Dominic Perrottet criticises the Queensland Government's refusal to pay its hotel quarantine bill to his state as 'extraordinarily ridiculous' and 'selfish'. I’d love to know the rationale of why Anastasia thinks the people of NSW should pay for quarantining Queensland residents. I imagine if it was the other way around they wouldn’t be happy to pay the costs of NSW residents. How to pay for an Olympic bid... NSW are fine with pork barreling and have nooooooo problem not giving funds to be who need it. So screw NSW Treasurer :) friendlyjordies
