, Coyne had his passport withheld for nearly seven weeks following an incident on June 2 outside the Grand Hyatt hotel when he used “vile and disgusting” language towards public officials.
It is understood a hotel doorman contacted local authorities and that Coyne’s alleged disrespect towards the police caused him to be detained. Coyne is the most recent addition to the ARLC board, joining in February, and while he initially expressed opposition to the ARLC’s controversial stand-down policy for any player charged with an offence carrying a criminal penalty of 11 years or more in prison, he later agreed, making the resolution unanimous.
De Belin had been charged with aggravated sexual assault after an alleged attack on a 19-year-old woman in a Wollongong unit in the early hours of December 9, 2018.
