NRL CEO, Todd Greenberg said the criminal charges against de Belin will fall within the parameters for the new no-fault stand-down.“I stress that the NRL is making no judgement on the guilt or innocence of the player,” Mr Greenberg said.“But we have to be in a position to take action when allegations are so serious that it would damage the reputation of the game if that player was allowed to take the field.Mr Greenberg said he expected to use the change in policy sparingly.
Where it is used, the game will continue to support players, their families and others requiring support, while cases are finalised in the courts.“And that is what we will do with a change of policy in place."
NO fault ha ha you shown guilt by your action , you even affected him having a fair trial
everyone is innocent until proven guilty. However when you have such a high profile career there is so much at risk for you and your team when you have such serious chargers laid against you. If his found innocent then he will resume playing again. I say fair call.
Guilty before proven innocent, why even bother having trials to access their guilt if you’re gonna treat them as criminals without knowing the facts. AFL doesn’t do this nonsense at all.

Todd_Greenberg if found innocent are you happy to pay damages in the following law suit? Grand final week and the 2 best players in team 1 get accused of rape in order to influence the game by a supporter of team 2 or someone betting on the match. Is this not open to corruption.
