‘Nowhere to hide’: super funds prepare for pending cash crunch

We want to be able to take advantage of opportunities.”

Mr Graham said the fund had taken steps to ensure it had easier access to cash. This, he said, included owning property assets individually, rather than through a fund. “It requires effective exposure management on cash and making sure that any point of time when you’re marking the collateral to market even though it might not be payable, that you’ve got cash in your book.”
