Breaking: A decision in Novak Djokovic's visa cancellation case is expected to be made later today after the court adjourned to consider submissions. Follow our live coverage:

The court has now adjourned to allow Chief Justice James Allsop, Justice Anthony Besanko and Justice David O’Callaghan to make a decision.

The Minister clearly sees there is a risk that in the same way as Mr Djokovic advertises or associates with an array of products, and no doubt because of his popularity and status that does well for those people who engage him for his endorsements. Mr Lloyd said that “the mere fact it might have been reasonable to make an inquiry does not make the person bound to make it”.He then questioned whether the information would have even been useful if it had been sought.

Serbian Australian Mina Zogovic said she believed the treatment of the world No. 1 had been “inhumane”.“He’s come here to play tennis, he’s come to bring us joy. It’s for his fans, not just the Serbian people. He’s come here to put on a show.“He was told to go back as soon as he came here, he was detained at the airport for eight hours. That’s inhumane.

“The powers in [the Migration Act] reflect the sovereign right of the Commonwealth to determine who is bound to be in Australia. The Commonwealth ought not be bound to suffer the presence of an alien for fear of what might occur if they were removed, which is in essence what the applicant’s case requires,” Mr Lloyd added.

“I think some of this commentary about how it’s been negative ... this event is much bigger than that, much more important than that and much bigger than the individual circumstances of one person.”Australian Open’s first schedule of play still hasn’t been releasedLess than 24 hours before the start of the Australian Open and tomorrow’s schedule of play still hasn’t been released. The prospect of world No.

It is so important, particularly since we’re in the COVID recovery phase, to put our best foot forward. The important thing is to show a sense of competence and welcome and we think certainly that, in terms of competence and welcome, we have been found wanting. “The concern is he is a high-profile person who is in many respects a role model for many people so that his presence in Australia would present, more strongly and more currently to Australians, his anti-vax views.

He's out so change the visa entry laws so this embarassing situation doesn't happen in the future. It must be sorted before ever getting to Australia

Won’t they stretch it out till tomorrow?

Most entertaining thing to come out of Australia since Skippy? Just kidding Aussie friends, Elle Macpherson was pretty amazing too.

he can stay but he has to play without a raquet

It aint law, it's a joke. He's not a preacher. He's unvaxed. There's a difference. 🇦🇺 just added him to this negative group of 'Anti Vaxers'. Working each other up way beyond what this should be. He's a poster boy If that was my country I would be embarrassed. NovakDjokovic

Or later tonight or tomorrow morning. Report it as the Chief Justice said.
