Racing Victoria’s chief handicapper Greg Carpenter says there are no limits when it comes to penalising Incentivise’s handicap for the Melbourne Cup following his devastatingIn the past 20 years, no horse has won the Caulfield Cup by greater than three lengths. “We saw something very special in the shape of the Caulfield Cup winner,” Carpenter said. “The quality of the win was outstanding.AdvertisementMeanwhile, trainer Peter Moody said Incentivise was unlikely to back up in this Saturday’s Cox Plate, taking a while to recover from the dominant Caulfield Cup victory.“It’s the first time he’s felt the run since he’s been here. The next week will be interesting to see how he bounces back,” Moody said on RSN radio on Sunday morning.

Moody said the horse would only go to the Melbourne Cup, however, if he was 100 per cent fit and ready.
