Nationals leader David Littleproud says there is “no linear pathway” to net zero by 2050.

“And that’s why we wanted to make sure that we invested in the technology,” he told Sky News host Chris Smith.

“And we said we could only get to around 85 per cent of the way and that we were going to have to rely on emerging technology later down the track. “But that’s why we’re looking at protecting those traditional industries with carbon capture storage and look to the newer industries like nuclear, small-scale modular nuclear.”
