That's because fear mongering sells news. Keep reporting the worst you guys 👏👏 you've nearly made communities something too scary for people to belong. Wouldn't be divide and conquer by any chance? 🤔🤔🤔

Grow some balls!!!

So what you are saying is that 5 in 6 Aussies DO feel safe.

How about you make the trains and buses run longer hours and then most people here won't have to get in ride shares

If it's not broken, don't try to fix it!!!!!!

Let’s look at it this way: will changing the day actually undo something our current generation had nothing to do with in the first place? No. Were all parts Australia “invaded” on the 26th Jan 1788 in some co-ordinated operation? No. Changing date will achieve nothing.

IMO we should change the date and recognise what the 26th really represents; An occupation. Yes it was a great day for the English empire as it marks the first day of conquering another country, but for true Australians it marks the end of their way of life. Stop being so selfish

Keep out the political agendas so medias & government & politicians & publicservants can focus on uniting all the wonderful culture in australia & not encouraging apartheid & AGGRESSIVE groups auspol ABCNews wapol wanews AustraliaDay ABCPolitics BuzzFeedNews 6PR

Ahhhh derrrrrrrrrr

Don't give a shit it's the same crap every year get over it already I'm sick of hearing about what a small vocal minoraty think.

Wow a survey of 1,000 people...

Survey has spat the same result out since the minority began a debate...

There was a white stolen generation but you don’t hear them bitching and moaning about it. It’s time to move on

Who cares really !

If the media gives the idea no coverage then it will go away.

11% in favour of changing the day is hardly a 'divide'

Well, the beginnings of genocide and a massive invasion IS significant.

Im sick of hearing about what a minority think. Get over ityou dopes.

meaningless day, who cares when the British arrived to start their offshore detention brutalise the indigenous population i 'm not celebrating that as start of a nation , maybe it should be the day rudd said sorry for the past which we can't heal

Unless we’re celebrating the survival of our FirstNations people, despite concerted efforts to wipe them out, there’s nothing to celebrate! The date is nothing but a HORRENDOUS reminder of the atrocities perpetrated by White colonialists! changethedate

Don't tell me Nine has worked out it's a tiny vocal minority who keep bringing this rubbish up? Perhaps now Nine will ignore them.

Cancel culture will not stop, they neeeed another victim.

The Indigenous people should starting recognising Australia Day as LIBERATION DAY, where they were Liberated from the non evolving life of the 40,000 years of perpetual Groundhogs Day mentality.

IMO if we are to heal the wounds of the past, address the errors of the stolen generation etc; we must listen and respect the Indigenous voice. dreaming AnitaHeiss We should respect their wishes to change date; it’s time. It isn’t about not celebrating but telling a new story.

GreoryLuckie

A survey says. No shit Sherlock.

Same story, same date different year.🙄

It’s significant to New South Wales only, makes no sense to the remaining colonies

Only the media stir up trouble and incite the 26th of January.

🐂💩
