The partner of Lawyer X, Nicola Gobbo, loses a bid to have his jail term reduced on the grounds that the controversy surrounding the role as a police informer has made his time in custody more difficult.

The partner of disgraced lawyer turned police informer Nicola Gobbo has lost a bid to have his jail term reduced after arguing his time in custody had become more difficult following her outing.His appeal was launched on the grounds that his relationship with Ms Gobbo amounts to fresh evidence

In lodging his appeal, drug trafficker Richard Barkho has publicly outed himself as Ms Gobbo's current partner, and claims to be the father of her two children.
