lawyer-turned-informer Nicola Gobbo when she gives her eagerly anticipated evidence before a royal commission from Tuesday.

Commissioner Margaret McMurdo spoke of seeing an "image" that had been given to her by Victoria Police, which leads to speculation that Ms Gobbo could have changed her appearance.and Nine Network Sam White said unless Ms Gobbo's appearance had fundamentally changed since the"Ms Gobbo’s image is already notorious to many people and certainly would be notorious to anyone who would want to harm her," Mr White said.

Commission lawyer Andrew Woods said it was "hardly a surprising thing" that the uncut footage is of interest given at the time she gave the interview to the national broadcaster, Ms Gobbo was trying to avoid giving evidence to the inquiry. Her conditions mean the cross-examination of her evidence will be limited. Ms Gobbo will give evidence from 9.30am until 2pm each day until Friday, with breaks in between.

"So we don't say with great respect that time concerns should now impact on this very, very crucial witness."
